What are the gel wraps made of?

MoYou London Gel Nail Strips are made of semi-cured gel polish that has been partially hardened during production so that it can be easily applied as a sticker.

How long do they last?

Moyou London Gel Nail Strips are very long-lasting. They last up to 3 weeks!

Can they damage my nails?

No, as long as you follow the application and removal instructions. Using MoYou London Gel Nail Strips can help brittle and soft nails by protecting them from everyday wear and tear, allowing them to grow longer.

However, it's better to avoid using them if you have done a patch test and have gotten a reaction, your skin is irritated or you have any wounds on your hands.

What's the difference between regular wraps and gel wraps?

Regular nail wraps are made of regular polish, acrylic, vynil or even paper whilst MoYou London Gel Nail Strips are made of real gel polish. They last longer and need to be cured with a UV Lamp to complete the process.

Can I reuse them?

No. Once Gel Nail Strips have been removed after being cured and hardened on the nail, they will lose their sticky property, which means applying them back will not be possible.

How should I store the remaining wraps?

Once you have opened your MoYou London Gel Nail Strips, keep them in their protective sleeve and prefereably inside their box in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

★ You should NOT use a base coat before applying MoYou London Gel Nail Strips.

What’s the best way to trim the excess?

You can use nail scissors or nail clippers to trim the initial excess once you have placed and smoothed out the strip. After this, we recommend filing the remaining excess to smooth the edge of the nail.

Can I expose them to the sun instead of using the UV lamp?

No. Sunlight may partially harden the gel in the strip, but it's not strong enough to cure it. We recommend avoiding daylight during the application process to avoid any unwanted results.

Can I apply them on top of tips/gel/acrylics/dip?

Yes, you can!

How long does it take to apply them?

You can apply MoYou London Gel Nail Strips in seconds! After the initial application, you will need to cure them with a UV/LED Lamp for approximately 60 seconds.

I applied one but it’s coming off on the edges and doesn’t stick. What should I do?

Remove the strip and make sure to clean your nail bed from any cuticle, residue or oil.

Choose the correct strip size (must not touch the skin) and reapply.

Make sure to avoid contact with water for 1 hour after curing.

Do I need to have nailtech skills to manage to apply them?

No, with MoYou London Gel Nail Strips you can get professional-looking nails without visiting the nail salon or spending hours designing your nails. The application process is very easy, as the strips can be applied like stickers.

Can I use a hand cream or oil before applying them?

No. Make sure your nails and hands are clean and oil free. Wipe your nails off with alcohol before application.

Can I file them after they are cured?

Yes, you can file the excess of MoYou London Gel Nail Strips one last time for a smooth finish!

I accidentally exposed them to the sun. Can I still apply them?

Gel strips become less stretchy and flexible after being exposed to the sun. The hardening of the strips will depend on how long they were exposed to sunlight. This may affect their effectiveness to stick to the nail and thus their longevity.

HEALTH

Can I have an allergic reaction after them?

If you are allergic to classic gel products you could potentially get a reaction while using gel strips. We recommend doing a patch test on one single nail for 24h before applying full set.

Is it safe to use them on kids?

We do not recommend using gel products that require UV/LED lamps on children as their skin is more sensitive.

SIZE

Do I just throw away the wraps which don’t fit?

You don't need to! MoYou London Gel Nail Strips can be stretched to fit your nails!

What if my nails are too short/long/narrow/wide?

★You can stretch MoYou London Gel Nail Strips lengthways for narrow nails, and widthways for wider nails.

You can also trim the excess once they have been applied.

My nails are really short, can I trim and use the other half of the wrap later?

Yes, both sides of MoYou London Gel Nail Strips can be used, so if it's long enough for your nails feel free to do so! We recommend cutting the strips when they are still on the plastic film, to keep the remaining part of the strip with the transparent film that protects it from dust and lint. Also, if you want to use them later, store them back in their protective sleeve and back in their box.

Can I use them to extend my nails?

NO. MoYou London Gel Nail Strips need to be stuck onto the existing nail and cured. They are too soft to be used to elongate the nails.

BUT, you could potentially extend them slighlty with gel strips by applying gel top coat on top of them. We do not recommend extending them more than 2-3mm. However, with this technique nails will be more brittle and prone to breaking.
