Exploring Nail Artists with Fariha Ali of NailJob on Instagram

The world of nail art is a kaleidoscope of colour, creativity, and self-expression. The community welcomes all, from seasoned professionals to wide-eyed beginners. Today, we're thrilled to share with you an interview conducted between MoYou and Fariha Ali, a nail artist who has emerged as an Instagram influencer. Check out her channel @NailJob.

An Unexpected Beginning

Fariha's nail art love story began in Bangladesh, where vibrant nails weren't the norm. Yet, a glimpse of hot pink and white acrylics on TV sparked a flame. “I knew I wanted nothing more than to have those nails. To this day, I have never worn those extreme pink and white French acrylics and in a way, they are like my Moby Dick,” she stated.

Passion and Career

A desk job felt unfulfilling, and nails became an escape. “I think I became obsessed with nails in a very consuming way, and in the background really starting to dislike my job that felt very dead end and unfulfilling,” @NailJob mentioned. This led her to pursue her passion for nails as a career.

Fariha’s Art on Nails

While formal art studies gave her a strong foundation, Fariha's initial inspiration came from recreating paintings and graphic art on her nails. “I feel like nail design is such a brave new space with untapped potential," she expressed. The ability to miniaturise art on fingertips fascinated her.

NailJob’s Signature Style

While Fariha doesn't claim a signature style, clients describe her work as "architectural." “I think I like cohesion and symmetry even in chaos and prefer a semi-minimal aesthetic. I think my fascination with metallic effects is very evident because I try to incorporate it into every design I do,” she said. @NailJob added that she absolutely loves chrome powders and she thinks that she has been successful in making them look very metallic.

Proudest Moments of Fariha’s Career

Fariha's proudest moments? “Making chrome powders look like metal and the day I figured out how to make magnetic gels work for me,” she said. These victories represent countless hours of dedication and experimentation. “Also, the day I finally was able to get the perfect stamped image on my stamper,” Fariha added.

NailJob’s Collab with MoYou London

An exciting moment in Fariha’s career was when she was asked by MoYou London to do a collab. MoYou asked her to create a gel nail design that would be transformed into gel nail strips and sold under the MoYou brand. The end product was outstanding.

Fariha’s Motivation to Continue to Push Design Limits

As a creative Nail artist, new materials and technology excite Fariha the most. She explores new resin gels and even adapts tech from other fields to push the boundaries of nail art. MoYou's semi-cured gel strips are a perfect example of this innovative spirit.

Expressions through Nail Art

For Fariha, the client's nails become an extension of her mood. From bold creations to effortless elegance, her art reflects her inner self. This deeper connection elevates nail art from a service to a creative outlet.
